And they’re still running today

I wish I could claim to have found this one my own. I am, however, going to spend the next three evenings on google images looking for more retro running pics, because this is so amazing.

Everybody’s doing it. They were doing it in 1977 and they are still doing it in 2012. We aren’t all doing it shirtless in an unzipped jacket (well, triathletes do it that way) or with a kerchief tight sportingly around our neck. Our hair certainly doesn’t have that range of bounce. Our shorts may not be as short or as gleaming white. But we’re doing it.

In other news, Shaun Cassidy: David’s brother is the hot one now.

  1. I can’t help but assume the post-run sex they had that day was particularly glorious.

  2. I hope it didn’t muss her hair…

  3. ahhh – back when Lee’s hair was as gig as Farrah’s!

  4. The best part is “Stars Join the Jogging Craze”. I wonder if the article puts any spin that this jogging thing is but a fad.
…I wish I had hair like that. Farrah’s …not Lee.

  5. it’s actually hard to imagine that they managed to run at all without the top-notch Garmin that beeps when you should drink and that tracks all of your train uphill run, so that you train as a pro, and without the cooling effect high-endurance high-performance breathable tank tops, and without double-cushioning, mid-arch and ankle support generation 7 mp3-synchroized sneakers. how did they man
    age that?! :)

    • I can only assume they probably had staff (not pictured) ringing alarm bells, fanning them down, and tossing rose petals on the road ahead to soften their landing.
