Every Saturday morning you ask yourself, will that Wile E. Coyote ever catch the cunning and quick Roadrunner? Answer, yes. Now what?
Vintage Capture (the idea that this 1980 episode is vintage sent me straight to a tub of ice cream. I’m older than vintage. And no, classic is not better. No, neither is retro.):
Modern Capture (I recommend you save this one for home viewing, unless your boss has liberal policies on profanity in the workplace):

This excellent blast from the past combined with Seth McFarlane’s take reminds me:
Is it completely warped that I really related with Wile E. Coyote as a kid?
I wanted to work for the Acme Corp, so I”m not one to judge.
LOL!!
I think that should be a new running category. I’d rather be referred to as a “classic” runner than a “masters” runner. What does “masters” mean, anyhow?
Roadrunner cartoons take me back to when I was fast and poor. We would go to Shakey’s Pizza for the meal of the day (lunch buffet with all the pizza and pasta you could eat) and watch Bugs and Roadrunner cartoons. And never gain a stinkin’ pound. Sigh …
But “classic” runner. That could at last bring me the respect I so richly deserve. Thank you for starting the movement!
My swim instructor once invited me to swim with her masters class, but unworldly as I am I assumed masters meant everyone was really fast and I’m really slow so I didn’t go. I blame my stupidity on Masters of the Universe.
